About Me

My name is Tracy Pagiatis and I have been a practising hypnotherapist for the last 10 years.

My background is in psychology and after graduating I worked in a facility for children who had either been committed or convicted of crimes and required secure accommodation.

The children exhibited a wide variety of psychological and behavioral disorders and after initial assessment I designed and implemented the treatment programs for the children in my care.

When I left to raise my own family and work in the family business, my love of the intricacies of the human mind meant that I read and kept up to date with the theories and practices within the world of psychology. A few years later I began researching the use of hypnosis in therapy.

I'd had since the birth of my son been crippled with back pain and sciatica. Conventional medicine provided me with increasingly stronger painkillers but as each strength decreased in efficacy I turned to alternative therapies.

I visited chiropractors, acupuncturists, osteopaths, physical therapists and hydro therapists. I tried any hands on approach I thought might help, and some did to a greater or lesser degree.

I was desperate for a miracle to happen. As anyone who has experienced severe pain and discomfort will know, as time wore on without relief, it became more a battle to regain my sanity and control as it did about pain relief.

My next port of call was a recommended hypnotherapist. After a few sessions in which we investigated my pain and the resulting feelings of helplessness and hopelessness she simply empowered me. I learnt to visualise, define, diminish and eventually eliminate my pain.

I was once more in charge of my body and the subsequent feelings of being enslaved by the pain and misery disappeared.

With my head now clear, I realised what I had always known, that as human beings we are equipped with the knowledge and ability to change the way we process the world both within us and all around us. (I still needed surgery..hypnotherapy wasn't able to slip the slipped discs back again! but throughout I was able to participate in my own recovery, using the self-hypnosis techniques I'd been taught.)

I studied and got my diploma as a master hypnotist, became a member of the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners and have been working and helping clients to realise the changes they wish to achieve ever since.
